Words & Music: Phyl Lobl

Can you feel the rhythm of a heart in motion?
Did you know your heart is like a pumping station?

Out along an artery back along a vein,
Round and round and round and round.
And round and round again,
Life blood. Life blood. Bright red,
If it wasn’t true blue you'd be dead.

Pulsing like freighter with the food you're giving,
Fueling up your muscles for the life you're living.

Running to the right side needing air,
Left from the lungs then everywhere.

Fighting all your battles with the dark invaders,
Red and white the colours of your blood's good raiders.

Slowing down for sleeping, then in fright its racing,
Giving you the energy for what you're facing.
