When I wrote this song in the Seventies, I wondered if we would make the next century if we didn't use the sun. Well we made the century and there are some signs of acceptance of the idea that using the sun is a necessity. The song will still be relevant until that fully happens.

FIND THE SUN

Words & Music: Phyl Lobl

Come, find the sun and open up the morning.
Come, find the sun and open up the day.
For the sun is high up there burning,
Help the sun keep the wheels all turning,
Come find the sun and open up the day.

Nuclear power, turning sour darkens up the sky,
Do we really need to see radio active clouds pass by,
When we could find the sun and open up the day.

Come, find the sun and open up the morning.
Come, find the sun and open up the day.
For the sun is high up there burning,
Help the sun keep the wheels all turning,
Come find the sun and open up the day.

Come on in for we could win our power another way,
Someone's mind is bound to find an answer that will really pay
And we could find the sun and open up the day.

Come, find the sun and open up the morning.
Come, find the sun and open up the day.
For the sun is high up there burning,
Help the sun keep the wheels all turning,
Come find the sun and open up the day.

Things are changing start arranging time is running out,
Congregate and jubilate ,march and talk and sing and shout
That we could find the sun and open up the day.
